Role description

As a Supply Planning Manager, you will be responsible for developing, implementing and managing an effective supply planning strategy to meet the needs of their customers and maintain optimal inventory levels.

You will lead a team of demand/supply planning staff based in the various BE locations. You will work closely with sales, finance and logistics to ensure accurate tracking of demand and that the right products are available at the right time. You will report to the Operations Director.

Responsibilities:

-Lead a team of demand/supply planners. Being able to lead change management well is very important here.
-Develop and implement supply planning processes and procedures to improve forecast fulfillment.
-Improving and harmonizing the procure to pay process.
-Determine planning strategy and parameters depending on the different business units and activities of Duomed.
– Collaborate with sales teams to capture events that may affect demand in a timely manner.
– Monitor demand and inventory levels and respond to any discrepancies in a timely manner to prevent shortages or overstocks.
– Identify opportunities for process improvement and implement best practices to improve the efficiency and effectiveness of inventory planning activities.
– Responsible for the unification of master data management processes, e.g.: item creations, usage forecast, …
– Provide internal and external customers with accurate delivery dates of goods.
– Responsible for following concrete Key Performance Indicators:
– Stock level and stock rotation
– On Time In Full deliveries from suppliers ifv the predetermined schedule
– #months supply for disposables
– Level of back orders
– Level of expired stock and risk of expiry

Profile description

-Bachelor’s or master’s degree in supply chain management, business administration, economics or a related field.
-APICS CPIM certification is a plus
-You are results-oriented and hands-on.
-You have a minimum of 5 years of experience within Supply Chain, Logistics or Distribution. In addition, you have a keen interest in optimization or improvement projects, also at Duomed group level.
-You are analytically inclined and enjoy diving into the details.
-You have the ability to identify, analyze and find solutions to complex problems to improve supply chain efficiency.
-You have good organizational skills to manage multiple tasks, prioritize and meet deadlines in a dynamic environment.
-You are an excellent communicator, know how to connect people and have the ability to adapt to constantly changing omstandings.
-You know how to bring people along and motivate them to go for one goal together.
– Experience with ERP systems and advanced knowledge of Microsoft Excel.
– Good 3-language: NL/FR/ENG
– Knowledge of Microsoft Dynamics 365 is a plus!
