Our client, Sarpi International, part of the Veolia Group, is renowned expert when it comes to sustainable waste risk management.

Sarpi is spread across several sites in the Netherlands in Belgium and has a total of about 400 employees for these countries. As part of the further optimization of the IT policy, we are looking for a Project & IT Support Lead.
In this position, the Project & IT Support Lead reports to the IT Manager of Sarpi BENE and works closely with the various stakeholders of the different entities.
This role provides an excellent opportunity for further development in both IT Service Delivery and as Project Management. As the organization continues to grow, there is eventually an opportunity to join the Sarpi management team.
Responsibilities:
– Prepare analyses and identify local software needs and IT technical requirements during and after the implementation of a new ERP developed in-house.
– Assume responsibility for local IT support and problem solving of local software problems in Beerse and Almelo.
– Handle escalations to external suppliers as needed and act as an intermediary between local departments and Veolia Belux IT.
– Working closely with the Sarpi BeNe IT manager for a smooth transition to the next phase of the Veolia Belux Carve-out process.
– Set up IT transformation project for implementation, this in collaboration with the Sarpi BeNe IT manager.
– Provide documentation for software and infrastructure support and provide training to IT help desk staff.
– Provide IT support and technical project support to the Sarpi BeNe IT manager.
– Take an active stance when it comes to developments within the market of IT innovation and trends.
– You have a degree in ICT or are equivalent through experience.
– Experience in providing IT solutions and market knowledge.
– Experience with an ERP system is required.
– Experience in 1st and 2nd line support.
– Strong communication skills and customer-oriented approach.
– Analytical thinking and problem-solving skills.
– Hands-on, proactive attitude.
– Fluent in Dutch and English, French is a plus.
– Willingness to travel (within Belgium, the Netherlands and France). +- 1 day per month.
